Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust
Bharat Vikas Parishad Charitable Trust Punjab was established in 1996 by members of BVP from Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir states. Its objective is to use funds donated by philanthropic individuals for the treatment and upliftment of the differently-abled. The Trust has established a Viklang Sahayata, Swarojgaar and Punarvas Kender in Ludhiana, Punjab, which is run with the support of BVP branches in Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.
The institute is equipped with modern machinery and expertise to manufacture and fix artificial limbs, calipers, and other attachments that can help differently-abled individuals to carry out day-to-day activities. The Trust also provides vocational training programs to help differently-abled individuals gain skills for self-employment and rehabilitation.
The Trust has achieved various milestones in the treatment and upliftment of differently-abled individuals. In the future, the Trust aims to make Punjab state Viklangata Mukat (free from handicap), establish an eye hospital, and replace electricity with solar energy. The Trust solicits donations and cooperation from individuals and organizations to achieve its objectives.
