On Thursday, Jatin met with a serious accident involving a truck. Two people were involved, but Jatin was the only one who was badly injured.
He is currently admitted to DMC Hospital and urgently needs surgery. The family has already somehow managed to deposit Rs.50,000–60,000,but Rs.1 lakh is still pending in the hospital bill. Doctors have also informed the family that more expenses will be added after the surgery.
Jatin comes from a very poor family. His father works as a garbage collector, earning only Rs.5,000–6,000 per month. This small income supports a family of four — Jatin, his parents, and his younger sister. The family has no savings and no other source of income.
Today, Jatin is lying in a hospital bed, in pain, waiting for treatment that his family cannot afford alone.
