After winning 5 National Awards, the next stop for Gursimran is World Stage-
and she got selected not just once, but 3 TIMES for the World Championships !
But sadly, she had to give up her dream every time.. Because coming from a poor village in Punjab, she has no funds for a good diet, travel, sports kit etc.. Her father is in bad health and her mother runs the house with money from tuitions..
Like many athletes in our country, lack of funds is the only reason why Gursimran can't play sports.
But these struggles have not stopped Gursimran from already achieving so much. She has won 3 medals in Wrestling in Columbia and South Korea, and she is now selected again for World Powerlifting Championship in October! But without sponsors, this dream will fail.
