A 40-foot-long container truck ran over her, crushing the lower portion of herbody and severely damaging her bones and vital organs.
Immediately after the accident, she was referred to the trauma center at PGI, Ludhiana,where she has been undergoing treatment. Her treatment is extensive, requiring multiple surgeries and long-term care. So far, her family has spent around two lakh rupees on her treatment, but the total cost is exorbitant, and they are struggling to afford it.
Madhuri has already undergone two surgeries, one for her hip bones and another for urinary system rehabilitation. However, more surgeries are needed, requiring an additional three Lakh rupees. Unfortunately, Madhuri is not covered by the Ayushman medical scheme.
